HOW IT WORKS

New members purchase a unique Identification number which can be theirs for life. They also receive a starter kit containing a set of sturdy key tags and labels printed with their own ID number. These tags and labels can be attached to any personal belongings including audio/visual equipment, keys, sports equipment, clothing, musical instruments, mobile phones, luggage, handbags - the possibilities are endless. The tags and labels also display the ‘ifoundit.com.au’ web address and direct people who have found valuables to log in. Finders then enter their contact details which are immediately forwarded to members (who have been identified by their individual code on the label) so that return of the item can be arranged at a time suitable to both. This puts you in direct contact with anyone who finds your lost items making it quick and easy for you to arrange return of your valuable possessions.

At no time are any of your personal details made available to anyone, thereby protecting your privacy and security. This is especially important when traditional labelling methods are inappropriate. For example, with lost keys to your car, house, boat, work keys etc., any details that may identify the keys as yours can also leave you open to theft. With ifoundit you can safely tag bundles of keys so that a finder is able to contact you to facilitate their return. This eliminates the costly exercise of changing locks because finders are none the wiser as to which locks these keys may open.

Finders who do not have access to the Internet can deposit found items at any Police station where the Police will contact you. The Australian Federal Police have been made aware of this system and are able to follow through with the return process.For those travelling interstate or overseas, the ifoundit system works just as well.
